After more than half a month of intense back-and-forth, Anthropic has finally restored access to Fable 5 today and has also partially lifted the restrictions on Mythos 5.
Fable 5 is now available on the Claude Platform, Claude.ai, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
Pro, Max, Team, and some Enterprise users can use up to 50% of their weekly quota on Fable 5 until July 7 local time. After July 7, continued usage will require usage credits. Standard Enterprise seats do not include Fable 5 quota by default; without credits enabled, access cannot continue.
The return of Fable 5 is certainly good news.
However, based on official statements and community feedback, it is no longer the pristine “white moonlight” model it was at launch. The safety filters are stricter, the probability of fallback to Opus 4.8 is higher, and token consumption is significantly faster.
