I let my Claude Code run “naked.”

That is, without installing any MCP or third-party enhancement plugins. Why? Because I firmly believe in Occam’s Razor principle: “Entities should not be multiplied without necessity.”

Take MCP as an example. Playwright MCP wraps 21 tools, while Chrome DevTools MCP wraps 26 tools. Each tool comes with lengthy prompt definitions.

Playwright MCP: A package containing 21 tools, whose API definition documentation requires 13,700 tokens. Chrome DevTools MCP: An even more comprehensive set of 26 tools, whose API definition reaches a staggering 18,000 tokens.
