OpenAI recently launched its Sora 2 video generation model with considerable momentum, and hot on its heels, Google’s Veo 3.1 has received a major upgrade today.

Specifically, Google’s upgrade encompasses two dimensions.

First, functional improvements. Video editing capabilities have been enhanced, allowing users to make more refined adjustments to clips and achieve more precise control over the final output.

More importantly, Google has added audio support for the first time to features like “Ingredients to Video,” “Frames to Video,” and “Extend,” making audio an integral part of the creative workflow.

Second, model-level advancements.
