The globally renowned large-scale model platform Anthropic published an article on its website titled "Ensuring America's Computational Advantage: Anthropic's Stance on Diffusion Rules."
Anthropic strongly supports and recommends that Trump adopt more aggressive rules to restrict AI chip exports, in order to maintain the United States' leading position in the AI competition with China.
Anthropic also slandered China, claiming it used "pregnant women's bellies" and live lobsters to smuggle the latest AI chips. This claim has been strongly criticized by Nvidia as exaggerated.
Anthropic specifically cited the example of DeepSeek, a typical Chinese large-scale model company: due to the lack of advanced AI chips, DeepSeek has to rely on less efficient alternatives, requiring 2–4 times the computational resources to achieve AI training results comparable to American companies.
