Last November, the unexpected arrival of Pika wowed everyone with its impressive video-generation capabilities, sparking excitement in the field.
On June 5th this year, Pika announced that it had raised $80 million in a Series B round, bringing its total funding to $135 million. The company's valuation doubled from late 2023 to $470 million.
However, despite the rise of competitors like Sora and other newer video models, Pika has been slow to release major updates.
Just a few hours ago, after months of silence, Pika's official Twitter (X) finally broke the news. The new version, Pika 1.5, is now officially here.
