OpenAI Unveils Canvas: A Powerful Writing and Coding Tool
OpenAI introduces Canvas, a new interactive interface for writing and coding with ChatGPT, offering powerful collaboration and smart shortcuts for better productivity.
ChatGPT's Most Significant UI Update Yet!
OpenAI just launched a new interactive interface called Canvas. Now you can collaborate with ChatGPT like you're using Word or VS Code!
What is Canvas?
Canvas is a separate window (kind of like Claude's Artifacts 😄), where you can work on writing and coding projects with ChatGPT, no more being stuck in a chat box!
It brings a fresh way to collaborate, allowing you and ChatGPT to create and refine ideas side by side, just like brainstorming with a colleague on a whiteboard!
The Beta version of Canvas offers users a new way to collaborate: not only can you create through conversation, but you can also work alongside ChatGPT as a true partner in creating and refining ideas.
Powered by GPT-4o, Canvas can be manually selected in the model picker during the Beta phase.
However, the Beta version is currently only available to ChatGPT Plus and Team users.
Enterprise and educational users will gain access next week. Free ChatGPT users will have to wait until Canvas is officially released before using it.
