Undoubtedly, multi-agent systems are certainly one of OpenAI's key research directions for the future. Just a few days ago, Noam Brown, a well-known research scientist at OpenAI, was recruiting machine learning engineers on X (formerly Twitter) for a new multi-agent research team that OpenAI is forming.

Just a few hours ago, this new research team, possibly still in formation, has already released a major research achievement: Swarm.

This is an experimental multi-agent orchestration framework, and its main features are ergonomics and lightweight design.

After Swarm's open-source release, it sparked heated discussions, with some saying that it could help simplify the workflow of many potential multi-agent use cases.
