GPT-6 Astra is now officially available to ChatGPT Work as well as Codex Pro, Enterprise, and Business Premium users, and the API is fully ready. Shortly afterward, OpenAI’s “cyber godfather” Tibo Sottiaux posted that GPT-6 Astra had also been fully released to Plus and Business users, with quotas reset once again.

Even if you can use it, the quotas are still capped. The top-tier $200 Pro plan only gives you 200 GPT-6 Pro calls per week; the $100 Pro plan is cut in half to 50 calls per week.

Enterprise limits are even stricter. Business Standard gets just 15 calls per month. Even the expensive Business Premium plan is locked at 50 calls per week.

The upgrade bar for developers is equally uncompromising. OpenAI stated outright that to access Astra, Codex CLI must be upgraded to 0.153.0 or later, and it recommended immediately updating the ChatGPT desktop client to the latest version.

Despite all these hurdles, there is only one reason people across the internet are willing to pay: Astra’s capability is genuinely different. Within 24 hours of launch, Astra-generated examples were everywhere—and most of them looked excellent.
