Nvidia's Biggest-Ever Funding Round Incoming

Nvidia nears $20B OpenAI investment in historic $100B funding round alongside Amazon and SoftBank, valuing the AI leader at $830B.

Today, according to Bloomberg, Nvidia is close to finalizing an investment agreement of up to $20 billion, participating in OpenAI’s latest funding round, which would become Nvidia’s largest investment ever.

OpenAI’s total target for this funding round is $100 billion. In addition to Nvidia, Amazon and SoftBank Group are also in talks for massive investments.

Among them, Amazon plans to invest up to $50 billion at most, while SoftBank is considering putting in $30 billion.

This funding round would value OpenAI at approximately $830 billion.

Amid various speculations from the outside world about the relationship between Nvidia and OpenAI, Nvidia’s founder and CEO Jensen Huang recently responded publicly in Taipei, China, stating that Nvidia will definitely participate in OpenAI’s next funding round and describing it as “possibly the largest investment in our history.”
