During the live broadcast of the launch event, errors in the demonstration of chart data led to seriously misleading information and were caught by viewers.
A netizen directly left a sharp comment under the launch video that was upvoted to the top position: “See, this PPT must have been made with GPT-5.”
AI expert Gary Marcus even “celebrated” across multiple platforms, bluntly stating that this most hyped AI model in history fell short, nowhere near AGI or “PhD-level cognition.”
Doubts poured in like a flood, with some even proclaiming “the second AI winter is coming.”
But OpenAI clearly doesn’t see it that way.
