Crazy! Musk is paying extra to cut the line for GPUs—accelerating xAI's product development.

NVIDIA's GB200 chip, which won’t be delivered until January next year, has been pre-ordered by Musk for a whopping $1.08 billion.

And judging by Musk's attitude, he’s determined to secure it, even if it means paying a premium.

While NVIDIA hasn't directly addressed the rumors, Musk's liking of related tweets is basically a stamp of approval.

The GB200’s performance is around 5 times that of the H100 GPU, with each chip (CPU+GPU) priced at $70,000.

My rough estimate is that Musk is aiming for around 100,000 GPUs.

Musk seems set on surpassing OpenAI~
