Just now, Mistral AI has open-sourced again, releasing its next-generation code model series: Devstral 2.
This open-source model series includes two sizes: Devstral 2 (123B) and Devstral Small 2 (24B). Users can currently use them for free through the official API.
Additionally, Mistral AI has also released its own native CLI: Mistral Vibe.
Mistral AI’s advancement speed is astonishing. Just one week ago, they released the Mistral 3 series models, which were seen as the prelude to Europe formally entering the frontline competition of AI. Only 7 days later, the Devstral 2 series and Mistral Vibe followed in quick succession. This high-frequency release rhythm seems to be confirming people’s judgment about the rise of European AI.
Considering Mistral’s recent significant expansion in Europe, and the news of Turing Award winner Yann LeCun returning to Europe to start a business, the future landscape of the European continent as a hotbed for AI may be worth investing more of our expectations in.
