"In 2025, we might witness the first wave of AI Agents joining the workforce, making a tangible impact on company productivity."

—Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI

"By 2025, every company will have AI software engineer Agents writing massive amounts of code."

—Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta

"In the future, every company's IT department will become the HR department for AI Agents."

—Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA

At the start of 2025, amidst many uncertainties, several key figures in the AI industry made remarkably similar predictions almost simultaneously:
2025 will be the Year of the AI Agent.

Unexpectedly, MiniMax quickly took action, open-sourcing its latest foundational language model, MiniMax-Text-01, and its multimodal visual model, MiniMax-VL-01.

The biggest highlight of these new models is the first large-scale implementation of a novel linear attention mechanism, enabling significantly extended input context windows: processing up to 4 million tokens at a time, 20-32 times more than other models.

MiniMax believes these models will contribute significantly to the expected boom in Agent-related applications over the coming year.
