Microsoft Research has open-sourced a real-time interactive world model called MineWorld.
MineWorld is built with Transformer at its core and developed in conjunction with the hugely popular sandbox game Minecraft. This is because games provide one of the best scenarios for evaluating and training agents in perception, decision-making, prediction, and comprehensive processing in dynamic and complex environments.
According to test data, MineWorld outperforms the well-known world model Oasis in multiple aspects. In terms of video quality, MineWorld with 300 million parameters achieves an FVD score of 246, lower than Oasis’s 377, and an SSIM score of 0.38, higher than Oasis’s 0.36.
