Following consecutive model updates from Anthropic and Google(GOOG 0.00%↑), Meta has now joined this week’s dense wave of large-model releases.
Just now, META 0.00%↑ officially launched Muse Spark 1.3. The new model began rolling out the same day on Muse Code and the Meta Model API.
Compared with the previous Muse Spark 1.2, Meta focused the upgrade on long-running agent tasks, coding, multitasking, and complex instruction following, while further reducing the number of tool calls and tokens the model needs to complete engineering work.
Mark Zuckerberg later wrote on X that Muse Spark 1.3 is Meta’s biggest upgrade yet for coding and agent work. He said it now delivers near-frontier performance, at a price “so low it’s almost negligible.”
According to Meta’s roadmap, Muse Spark 1.3 is only the start of this update cycle. A larger Muse model and an open-weight version of Muse Spark are already planned for later release.
