Honestly, the first time I saw this feature, I was stunned for a few seconds.
You type a message in Telegram—not the kind of auto-reply you’d get from a customer-service bot, but a message that goes straight into the Claude Code session currently running on your computer. Claude receives it, reads files if needed, runs commands if needed, finishes the work, and sends the results back to Telegram.
This isn’t some “connect a large model API” wrapper chatbot. This is your Claude Code—the one running locally, with your codebase open—taking remote jobs from your phone.
The feature is called Channels. It’s still in research preview, but it’s already usable. Today I walked through the entire setup and want to share it with you.
