At the Google I/O conference that just concluded in the early hours of this morning, Google CEO Sundar Pichai kicked things off by throwing out these impressive numbers.
Over the past year, AI has become the dominant theme across all industries. Gemini’s positioning within Google has evolved from a standalone app into the most important AI foundational capability across all Google products.
This keynote started with the models, then moved into Coding and Agent products.
Gemini Omni pushes Google’s video generation toward the “world model” direction, while Gemini 3.5 Flash is being positioned alongside AI programming tools as part of an Agent development platform.
These two capabilities will subsequently be integrated into Google’s full ecosystem, including Search, the Gemini App, Flow, Spark, Chrome, XR glasses, and e-commerce scenarios.
