Gemini’s New Leadership Lights Its First Fire
Just three weeks after the release of Gemini 3.6 Flash, Google has already launched Gemini 3.7 Flash.
Koray Kavukcuoglu, who recently took the helm at Google DeepMind, introduced the model in a post, describing it as the new primary model for coding and agent workflows. Its launch pricing is only half the original price of Gemini 3.6 Flash.
He also shared a set of progress curves from the past three months:
DeepSWE v1.1 rose from 37.0% to 65.3%, Web Development Code Arena Elo climbed from 1506 to 1588, and enterprise automation score on AutomationBench increased from 13.4% to 30.4%.
In just three months, the Flash series has advanced from 3.5 all the way to 3.7. What was once positioned mainly as a cheap, high-volume option is now clearly being tasked with more ambitious roles—coding, agents, and enterprise automation have all become its main battlegrounds.
