Last week, Google released a major update to Gemini 3 Deep Think to address the complex challenges in today’s science, research, and engineering fields. And just now, Google has officially launched the upgraded core intelligence powering these breakthroughs: Gemini 3.1 Pro.
Shunyu Yao, who participated in the Gemini 3 Deep Think research, also posted on X introducing this new breakthrough, stating: “Even better models will continue to emerge in the future.”
According to Google, building on the Gemini 3 series, 3.1 Pro achieves a further leap in core reasoning capabilities. For solving complex problems, 3.1 Pro provides a smarter and more powerful performance benchmark. This is also reflected in the team’s progress across multiple rigorous benchmark tests.
On ARC-AGI-2 (a benchmark evaluating a model’s ability to solve entirely new logical patterns), 3.1 Pro achieved a verified score of 77.1%, with reasoning performance more than double that of 3 Pro.
