DeepSeek V4 is fast, cheap, and has strong reasoning capabilities.

However, it has one fatal flaw: it does not support multimodal input.
The lack of multimodal support significantly affects its usage in Claude Code and frequently interrupts normal workflows.

For example, if you screenshot an error message or drag in a UI design draft, the DeepSeek model simply gets stuck. There are far too many important scenarios like this.
