The DeepSeek Open Source Week has entered its fourth day (see the previous three days' reports in the "Related Reading" section at the end).
Today, the company released two tools and a dataset simultaneously: DualPipe, EPLB, and analysis data from the training and inference framework.
DeepSeek explained that DualPipe, used during the training of V3/R1, is a bidirectional pipeline parallel algorithm designed for computation-communication overlap.
EPLB is an expert parallel load balancer designed specifically for V3/R1.
The release of training and inference framework analysis data is intended to help the community better understand communication-computation overlap strategies and the underlying implementation details.
