Claude Skills - SOPs For Agents

A few days ago, OpenAI launched a drag-and-drop Agent building solution, which seemed to receive a lukewarm response from the community. Today, Anthropic also introduced a major new feature called Agent Skills, which enables rapid construction of domain-specific Agents. This approach has a very clear and simple concept with strong practicality. I’m sharing it with everyone to take a look.

Simply put, Agent Skills is a completely new method of building professional agents using files and folders.

Although the Claude model itself is already very powerful, completing real-world work still requires programmatic knowledge and organizational context. The emergence of Agent Skills is precisely designed to solve this problem.

Now, anyone can package their expertise, operational processes, and resources into composable “skills” just like preparing an “onboarding guide” for a new employee, and dynamically load them into Claude, thereby transforming a general AI agent into a specialized expert that meets specific needs.

What is the core of this new feature? How does it specifically work?
