Just now, Anthropic released Claude Haiku 5.5, which it calls its cheapest, fastest, and most capable small model to date.
Haiku 5.5’s average running cost is about 75% lower than the previous generation, Haiku 4.5.
Despite being much cheaper, it scores far higher than Haiku 4.5 on coding, computer use, and knowledge work.
Anthropic also announced two other things: the cache read price for Sonnet 5.5 is cut in half, and Claude Max and Team subscribers will get an extra monthly API credit.
