When I was translating the Claude Code docs, I noticed a page called “accessibility” at the very bottom of the sidebar.
My first reaction: this has nothing to do with me; I don’t use a screen reader.
I read it through anyway, turned a few things on, and then didn’t turn them off all afternoon.
It wasn’t because anything is wrong with my eyes. This page hides a few switches that fix every small annoyance I’d been putting up with: the terminal constantly flickering, permission menus that force you to pick with arrow keys, and waiting around after Claude has already finished.
One thing up front: this page was written for developers who use screen readers like VoiceOver or NVDA, and that context shouldn’t be lost. But the things it does “along the way” are genuinely comfortable for everyone.
