I’m Not Afraid of Hard Bugs. I’m Afraid of the Tedious Ones.

What I dread is work that isn’t hard but is incredibly fiddly: swapping API calls across 300 files, migrating an entire directory from an old style to a new one, adding the same kind of error handling to dozens of pages. If you write a script, the code structure turns out to be all over the place. If you hand it all to Claude, the context fills up halfway through.

So the first time I saw /batch, I assumed it was just a button for “open a few more Claudes.” Only after reading the docs did I realize that what it solves isn’t speed. It breaks one big change into many small work orders that can each be accepted independently.
