The latest Claude Code 1.0.68 introduces three major new features: Microcompact, Subagents (@-mentions + model selection), and PDF support.

Microcompact

Previous versions of Claude Code would continuously monitor context size and perform auto-compaction when consuming too many tokens.

This improved Microcompact version will automatically remove redundant segments from various tool calls without requiring manual triggering, and won't lose entire context segments at once, maintaining coherence.
