OpenAI just launched a brand-new experience for ChatGPT—Shopping Research.
This is a deep search feature specifically designed to assist with decision-making. Now you no longer need to jump back and forth between dozens of websites yourself. Simply tell ChatGPT what you need, such as “pick a gift for my 4-year-old niece who loves art,” “help me choose between three bicycles,” or “find the quietest cordless vacuum cleaner suitable for a small apartment.”
ChatGPT will conduct in-depth searches across the web for these needs, review high-quality information sources, and combine them with previous conversation memory to generate a personalized buyer’s guide for you within minutes.
Currently, this feature has been rolled out to all logged-in users (including Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans) on both web and mobile platforms. To welcome the holiday shopping season, OpenAI announced that during the holidays, they’re offering almost unlimited usage across all plans.
