Claude users who have been eagerly waiting for the return of Mythos and Fable 5 got a group chat bot first.

This new feature is built on the Claude Opus 4.8 model. Its core idea is to transform AI from a simple “one-question-one-answer chatbot” into a “virtual colleague with its own independent identity that lives permanently in a Slack channel.”

For those unfamiliar, Slack is essentially the overseas version of DingTalk, Feishu, or Enterprise WeChat — a team collaboration and communication tool used by companies. Just like Chinese office software that supports group chat bots, Slack already has built-in AI features. However, most of those functions are still limited to summarization, search, fixed workflows, or basic Q&A.

With the Claude Tag that Anthropic just launched, they’ve taken a significant step forward, allowing AI to truly take on and advance the tasks a team is working on.
