Claude Code can now run its own AI team.

Just now, Anthropic announced a redesigned Projects feature. The first stop: Claude Code.

You describe the work in a single chat. Claude breaks it into multiple threads and sends them to the cloud to run in parallel. Close your laptop, and they keep going. When something needs your call, it comes back to you. On the subway, you can pull out your phone, check progress, and change direction.

Officially, talking to it is like briefing your chief of staff: dump several tasks at once, in any order.

One notable detail: just a week ago, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei published a piece urging the industry to “slow down,” saying recursive self-improvement was already moving faster than expected. The words had barely landed when the company dropped this. Tap the brakes with one foot, mash the gas with the other — classic Anthropic.
