Anthropic Is Here! Wall Street Welcomes a Trillion-Dollar AI Giant: Revenue Up 14x, but What Lies Behind the $80.7 Billion Loss?

Wall Street has finally got the IPO of a true AI foundation-model giant.

On October 26, Anthropic, the AI company behind Claude, publicly filed its S-1 prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker $ANT.

The company is only five years old, and its last funding round valued it at $965 billion. According to market reports, Anthropic’s potential IPO valuation could reach $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion.

What does that mean? A five-year-old AI company could rank among the world’s largest publicly listed companies.

But open the prospectus, and you will see two starkly contradictory numbers: first-half 2026 revenue of $16.3 billion, up roughly 13x year over year, against a staggering net loss of $80.7 billion.
