Elon Musk faces fierce backlash as AI pioneer Hinton criticizes him, sparking protests by over 3,400 scientists questioning his Royal Society membership.

Elon Musk has once again gotten into another argument with someone.

Today, on platform X, “AI godfather” Hinton posted a message “ripping into” Musk, calling on the Royal Society of the United Kingdom to revoke his membership, on the grounds that Musk has caused tremendous damage to American scientific institutions.

Soon, Musk appeared in the comments to strike back at Hinton:

“Only cowardly, insecure fools care about awards and memberships.

History is the true judge, always. Your comments above are both ignorant and cruel, and inaccurate. That said, what specific behaviors need to be corrected?
