Previously, many people asked about the difference between Skills and MCP. In fact, MCP can be seen as a function of post-positioning. Simply put, function post-positioning means the AI Agent knows “what can be done,” but the actual execution happens elsewhere. When you use MCP, the AI only acts as a remote calling client.
But Skills is function pre-positioning, maximizing the AI’s capabilities to complete tasks. It not only knows what can be done, but also knows how to do it, what to do, and continuously adjusts the results based on feedback during the process.
